A CLEAN LOOK

MODERN LINES ARE COMBINED WITH A CONTEMPORARY AESTHETIC TO UPDATE MULTIPLE DRY CLEANER LOCATIONS.

Flair Cleaners has been a fixture of Southern California for over 45 years. The remodeled interior has a slightly retro feeling to it. This aesthetic connects to the long standing relationship the cleaners has had in the community and harkens back to a time when the quality of service that Flair Cleaners offers was a way of life.

Interior branding is important to any company with multiple store-front locations. We worked with Flair Cleaners to create a package of colors, shapes, graphics, and textures that could be used across all of the store locations. But it is also important that each store have a unique feel. We achieved this by using a different wood grain pattern in each store for the counter fronts, valances, and wall panels.

Installation required detailed logistics. It is not possible to shut down a dry cleaner for a few days or weeks to install new counters, shelves, and other required elements. Both the removal of the old materials and the installation of new materials had to be done during the evening or, in many cases, while the location was open for business. Being on busy commercial streets combined with the constant influx of customers in the store and in the parking lot, hour by hour planning was required to avoid interruption of service. As we completed the final touches it was entertaining to see customers come in and be shocked by the complete transformation of the space in such a limited amount of time.
